Nursing School Vacation Recap

During my three week break from school – the first break since Christmas – I have done a whole lot… of nothing. I did some cleaning at home (not too much of course!), Blair and I went swimming and played outside if it wasn’t too hot, I carried her to several appointments and had a few at home as well, we had our first solo family vacation (more on that later), I spent the weekend at a Farm Bureau Young Farmer Conference, I collected quite a few chicken eggs, and I finally had a birthday dinner with Brad – and I got a gift from him too!

He got me some new sunglasses. I wear sunglasses all the time when I’m outside because my eyes are so sensitive for some reason, but it’s been a long time since I had a nice pair of sunglasses. Now I do – and these are off limits to Blair who, in her less than two years, has a history of ruining my sunglasses. I got some made by Costa del Mar, and I’m really happy with them! Yay! Brad has always worn Costas, and I have never loved how his fit. These are great though – they are just right!

I start back officially on Tuesday. It’s bittersweet! I have enjoyed being home with Blair every day, but I’m ready to start back so I can get finished and graduate in May!
