Memorial Day at Linnie and Ben's

I've had a busy two weeks with school, Blair, and who knows what else, so I'm a bit behind on our activities. Along with cleaning my house and putting up the folded laundry in various baskets around the house (ie under the coffee table), I'm going to try to catch up this weekend on some blogging. We've had some fun things going on these past two weeks!

Let's first rewind to our Memorial Day trip to Aunt Linnie's. Blair and I headed to her house on Friday after her speech appointment to stay the long weekend. We had a nice drive although my car is trying to convince me it is not going to last much longer. I don't believe it though.

We did lots of stuff at Aunt Linnie's house!

We blew bubbles. Lots of bubbles.

She hears the trucks on the big road.

There was also lots of playing.

Where'd it go?

Especially outside.
Blair's into kissing booboos these days.

We swang. And seesawed.

We ate waffles (everyday).

We rode in Granny's golf cart to see the cows. Right about the time that Linsey was convinced we were going to get stuck (although we were bouncing to death on hard ground) a little mouse appeared through the opening behind the golf ball holder. I screamed. I'm not even scared of mice, and I screamed like never before! It was just so weird to be riding along and to all of a sudden realize that we had a fourth passenger -- and unwanted passenger! I tried to scare him out with the garden shears, but we didn't see him run off. It's okay because Granny took measures into her own hands when we returned the golf cart!

There was good food!

And pretty flowers!

Linsey's Lamb's Ear are out of control. I think she started with a total of 6 small ones, and they have grown into this plus more not shown.
We tie dyed shirts. Linsey had some left over dyeing materials from her Family and Consumer Science classes, so we used it! This activity took me back to middle school when my friend Margaret and I were all about dyeing some shirts with Rit dye. I have to say that Linsey's stuff that she uses at school is a whole lot better!

And we decorated cookies after Gigi got there.

Gigi. Blair went from loving on Aunt Linnie to this:

I want my Gigi!

We had so much fun and hope to go back soon! We love you Linnie!
