"E" is for Everywhere

My first real opportunity to take pictures of a child other than mine was this past weekend when I took some shots of my friend's two year old son. I have always wanted to do photography of others as a hobby but have never really trusted my ability. I had really great time!

I will tell you that it was an experience! My subject is not quite as mobile yet, so I've had little practice with a little boy who is everywhere! I had to be on my toes to try to keep him occupied just enough to keep him in one place for a few seconds to get some pictures. He was cute as a button telling me "no thank you" when I asked him to sit in a chair! We manged though, and he was really sweet and fun to photograph.

We had been planning to do them outside, but the timing for our getting together on days on which the weather was nice just didn't work out! I don't have much knowledge about taking indoor photographs, but it was too cold to go outside, so we did them in a nicely lit living room. I'm proud of how they turned out, and I'm happy to share a few of my favorites.

What a great experience! I look forward to having more opportunities to practice!
