Since Blair's birth, I have not been back to our house, but Brad and I have a wonderful home at the Ronald McDonald House. I'm an ADPi, so I cooked meals at the RMH in Greenville during college, but I now have an all new appreciation for the RMH. The house here is so nice, and the staff is wonderful. Being here has made getting to the hospital much easier than if we were at home. Meals are prepared here each night, so we do not have to eat out. I have somewhere to be or rest during the day when I can't be at the hospital. We can do laundry, watch TV, and have visitors. Brad and I are forever grateful to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
We all can contribute to this special place by saving pop tabs from aluminum cans -- a painless way to help other families like us have a home near a hospitalized child.
